Breast Cancer Benefit Tournament at RiRa Irish Pub

Thanks to everyone who came out Sunday night, October 28th, and participated in our benefit tournament to combat breast cancer!

We had 27 players show up and help raise just over $1200!  Buy-ins were $50, and we allowed rebuys of $30 for the first hour, as well as a $30 add-on at the end of that hour.  In addition to the 27 buy-ins, we had 10 rebuys and 17 addons.

Again, on behalf of Freeroll Atlanta and RiRa, thank you very much for helping out!

The winners of the 2012 Breast Cancer Benefit

Dermot “The Wizard” Culligan came in third place and won himself $100.  In an extremely classy move, Dermot donated his $100 earnings back into the amount we raised for charity!  Brilliant!

In second place we have Michael Medlock, who took home $250.  Good job, Mike!  We hope to see you and your wife at one of our games again soon!

And the grand prize of $400 and a one night stay in the Wow Suite at The W Hotel Downtown (apparently priced at over $1000 a night) is RiRa’s own Erik Tierney!  Erik’s chipstack remained piled high the majority of the final table, and heads-up lasted less than 5 minutes.

Those poker books you’ve been reading are really paying off, right boss?

Here’s the rundown of Monday night’s tournament.  Again, much thanks to everyone who played!  We’ll see you at the next benefit tournament (be on the lookout for January)!
